This son of a bitch was as drunk as a person could possibly be when he crashed his motorcycle into our car on that beautiful summer day.  We went out to help him and I saw how he made a dog’s breakfast of his foot. When I took the picture I guessed the focus and shot mostly without looking because the scene in real life was too gruesome for my observance. He was so drunk he could barely speak and told us not to call the police/ambulance. Well we did anyway and the ambulance, which was actually a typically SUV with a green cross on the side and three plain-clothes paramedics inside, came a long hour later. When the help arrived, the lush, who was cradling an unbroken bottle of beer, cracked it and chugged as much as he could before the medics threw it in a ditch. The bastard is lucky he’s still alive considering I’d be happy to wring his throat and also that he got in a head-on collision motorcycle accident while wearing a light jacket and using his hair as a helmet. Anyway he didn’t seem to care to have his foot anymore because he many times attempted to rip it off (as it were, the foot was dangling from a stretched piece of skin) despite our protests for him not to touch it. Damage doesn’t look so bad in black and white.
